Who We Are
Better HAITI is a group of disciples of Jesus Christ who belong to the worldwide fellowship of the International Churches of Christ.
Our Vision
Better HAITI’s vision is to promote the welfare of the churches in Haiti. Our churches in Haiti face unique and special challenges that require extraordinary measures. Our vision is to leverage resources around the world and to connect people to the church to advance the work in Haiti.
Our Mission
Better HAITI Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to support the work of the International Churches of Christ in Haiti. Through its projects, Better HAITI seeks to strengthen the church in Haiti and to improve the quality of life of its members.
Our Board of Directors
Lesly Cadet is currently part of the Palm Beach, Florida Church. He led the church in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and all of the churches in Haiti (EICH) from 2016 to 2022. He became a disciple in the Boston Church in 1989. Lesly also served in leadership roles for our churches in Atlanta, South Florida and Boston.
Myrtho Joseph currently lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He became a disciple in the Port-au-Prince Church in 1995. Myrtho served as the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Port-au-Prince Church, vice-chairman of the Board of Directors of the New-Orleans Church, and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Bridge Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Daniel Albert currently lives in Central Florida and is part of the Crossview Church of Christ in Lakeland, Florida. He was baptized in the South Florida Church of Christ in 1991. He served as the Financial Administrator of the Churches in Haiti from 1999 to 2004.
Madsen Toussaint was baptized in the Port-au-Prince Church in 2006 as a teenager. He currently lives in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Madsen and his wife lead the Singles Ministry in one of the regions of the church. Madsen serves as a representative for disciples living in Latin America.
Emmanuel Sévère (Fréro) currently lives in Montréal, Québec, Canada. He was baptized in the Port-au-Prince Church in 2002. Fréro has since been involved in several leadership positions. In Montreal, Canada he is the choir director for the Montreal Church. He also served on the Board of the church in Port-au-Prince. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Montreal Church.
Jean Harry Neas was baptized in the campus ministry of the Port-au-Prince Church. He currently lives in Palm Beach, Florida and is part of the Palm Beach Region of the South Florida Church. He runs a math tutoring business.
Wilby Joachim was baptized as a teen in the Church in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in 1999. He later helped to lead the campus ministry in Haiti. He currently lives in Long Island, New York and is a member of the Long Island Region of the NYC Church of Christ.
